sunset on mars

On May 19th, 2005, NASA’s Mars Exploration Rover Spirit captured this stunning view of the Sun sinking below the rim of Gusev crater on Mars. This Panoramic Camera (Pancam) mosaic was taken around 6:07 in the evening of the rover’s 489th Martian day. Because Mars is farther from the Sun than the Earth is, the Sun appears only about two-thirds the size that it appears in a sunset seen from the Earth.

This blog is a collection of photos I have found around the internet. From famous battles, great sporting moments or just anything I find to be thought provoking. I do not take credit for any of the photos and any uncredited photos are because I have been unable to find the photographer/artist. Enjoy :) Mirror Eyes - Blogged
